Summary:
Abel went to University to learn about the sea, his mother thought that funny that he had lived his life in the ocean and he went away to learn about it. In between semesters he came home and did a lot of maintenance around the place and swam with Blueback and his mother. Abel met a girl and fell in love, her name was Stella and although she had grown up in the desert she was as passionate about the ocean as Abel. He brought her home to meet his mum and he noticed how old his mother looked. Abel was nervous about them meeting but they got on very well together and there are no problems. Dora tells him she will have to share him with someone else and they take her out to meet Blueback. That night as they eat dinner on the verandah there are dolphins playing in the bay, Abel thinks that is a good omen and he asks Stella to marry him.
